Enchanted Woodland Wedding

LOOKING for bridal inspiration?

We have created a magical woodland tablescape for an intimate and enchanting outdoor wedding.

The Inspiration

There is something magical and whimsical about the combination of love and flowers.

Our style of floristry is very much inspired by a connection with nature. We are so lucky that our studio is set in Manor farm, amongst lush forests and rolling hills, both of which are almost impossible to not be inspired by. When we planned this photoshoot, we couldn’t resist setting our decor under the canopy of the old oak tree, stood watching over the sparkling waters of the river avon.

There is something so humbling about the beauty and magnitude of the forest, forcing you to take deep breaths as you become lost in the rich evergreens. The crackling of bark on the ground. The sweet song of birds. The rays of sunshine that dance jovially through the canopy’s leaves, embracing you in its soft shadows - what’s more romantic?

The flowers

We chose some of our favourite blooms in light, soft, creams and pale pinks with berries to contrast the moodiness of the forest. The voluptuous Café au Lait dahlias and Quicksand roses delicately soften the rough bark of the old forest.

These arrangements were created in glass trifle dishes for an elevated and elegant look.

The Details

Tablescaping is about building layers, softening surroundings and creating a specific atmosphere using various colours, textures and fabrics. No detail is spared or leaf left unturned!

The white cotton table runner is juxtaposed by the fawn linen tablecloth offering depth and contrast to our tablescape. The neutral tones of textured fabrics build the canvas on which our piece is presented, further contrasting the vibrant textures and hues in our display.

To us, the warmth of candlelight is the key to setting a romantic mood. Our wedding table displays a variety of candles in a selection of differing shapes and sizes, using a mix of cream tapered candles in brass candle stick holders and tea lights in ribbed glass votives.

The silk ribbon used to tie the napkins echoes the delicacy of the fresh petals in our centrepieces. This, complemented by a single stem of Ammi in lieu of a place-card adds the final touch of luxury, completing the table.

The Photographer

It is always a privilege to work with the beautiful Hannah Warmisham Weddings  who perfectly captures the melismatic decadence of our arrangements in contrast with the ambience of the forest, as portrayed in our photoshoot.

Still wondering if you should elope in the woods? Remember… Woodland magic strikes every time.

Lots of love,

Sky xx
