Sunset wedding at the Roman Baths

Cherie-Anne and Laura got married in the award-winning Roman Baths & Pump Room in the heart of Bath on an enchanted autumn night after 20 years of being together. An intimate and magical ceremony celebrated at sunset in this iconic venue.

The couple chose peach and white tones for their wedding flowers with a mixt of roses, lysianthus, astrantia, delphiniums, viburnum and eucalyptus. Laura really liked the idea of having orchids while Cherie-Anne loved pampa grass so we integrated a touch of both in each bouquet. Cherie-Anne’s bouquet was tied with a peach silk ribbon, while Laura’s one was tied in powder blue silk ribbon for her touch of something blue.

The bridal couple exchanged their vows outside around the Great Bath, a steaming pool of hot spa water, the magnificent centrepiece of the Roman Baths ancient bathing complex. All of this overlooked by the beautiful Bath Abbey for a truly romantic ceremony.

The ceremony was followed by a vibrant party in the venue’s magnificent Victorian reception hall.

The decor was kept elegant and simple with tapered candles in cylinder vases and eucalyptus adorning the window sills. On the tables, we used candleabras decorated with foliage as well as bowls of floating candles and soft peach phalaenopsis orchids, matching Laura’s bouquet and buttonhole.

An unmatched evening for atmosphere and romance, just as we love them!

THEIR WORDS

What an incredible florist and person!
Sky welcomed me and my wife with open arms. She was recommend to us by the Roman Baths and our baker for the cake also knew of her. I don't know how she did it but we had very few ideas and no clue what we wanted and she managed to gleam out of us what she needed to know to workout what we would like. She also didn't press us to spend extra money, she just wanted it to be right for us.
We had button holes, slap stick wrist bands for the mums, 2 bouquets. Beautiful flowers for the candle stick holders and floating orchids in water. She supplied all the candles we needed.
The Roman Bath's actually said they had never seen the venue look so beautiful in any of the weddings they had and that is all down to Sky.
Thank you so much for making our day so special. I can't recommend her enough, it was such good value for money, of course the flowers were beautiful but her service meant we didn't have to set anything up or worry about anything.
