Intimate wedding at homewood

Lisa & Mark chose to say yes last summer in the traditional Georgian mansion - now luxurious country house hotel - Homewood, located just outside of Bath, Somerset. With just over 30 guests, this intimate wedding took place in the bright and airy Chandelier room.

The couple wanted a moody and romantic floral decoration with deep burgundy blooms balanced out by softer tones of blush pinks. We used a mix of black baccara roses, feathers, scabious, chocolate cosmos and lighter Quicksand, Mentha & Earl Grey roses adding a touch of scent with vintage coloured carnations.

Lisa wore a gorgeous London designer Ritva Westenius dress embellished with a hand-stitched beaded shoulder shrug and matching head band. Jasmine, the couple’s daughter, wore a beautiful green silk dress mirroring the elegance of her mum’s dress.

The ceremony was followed by drinks on the lawn.

The dinner later took place in the Chandelier room with dark tapered candles in brass candlestick holders laid on reclaimed wooden tables giving the room a classy and elegant feel.

The day ended with a candle lit Mad Hatters tea party under the old pine tree for a magical evening.

THEIR WORDS

Oh my goodness the flowers…
When we opted for Homewood as the venue, I had forgotten that it would mean having to find a local florist. Heather from Homewood put me in contact with Sky at The Roantree and oh wow is she wonderful. She got the look, the theme and even the styling of the day, through to collecting curious bottles to decorate the evening Mad Hatters tea party! My bouquet brought tears to my eyes and Jasmine‘s was incredible. It was such a beautiful day and I can’t thank Sky enough for bringing my flower vision to life!
Ps: she is also a truly lovely person to work with.
